"Five friends, five musicians united like the five fingers of a virtuoso playing music without borders, without limits, klezmer music, the music of the Jewish communities Eastern Europe. They perpetuate the tradition of "wanderers" impregnated with the rhythms of the world, with all its fashions, all the melodies met on the way. Yankele means in Yiddish Little Jack, though their art is anything but little. >From very different backgrounds, from classical, jazz, 'chanson', and bossa nova, they unite their talents and their instruments - and even their voices - to enkindle their creativity. In this new opus, they take us on a return trip from Paris to the origins of klezmer, in a union of flavours (French waltz, gypsy airs, Israeli lullabies, and so many others). Yankele express their personality with tenderness, with humour and generosity". Georges Moustaki. See photo gallery. puce-formation Museum : Musée des arts et métiers. Les défis du rail" ("Faster and faster ! The challenges of rail") showing until May 2nd, offers for discovery a history of the conquest of speed on French railways, from the steam train to the AGV (High-Speed Automotive). Since the end of the 19th Century, the railway has made itself the reference point of ground-based mass transport. It has, however, needed years of research and technological advances for the train to become the means of transport so reliable, comfortable, and above all fast, that we know today. Indeed, a Paris-Marseille trip that nowadays takes us 3 hours would have taken in 1859 closer to 20 !
